Dear parent,

Our new caretaker

Mr Dave Rose, our new caretaker has already joined us and we are delighted to welcome him to the Kyson staff team. Mr Youngman is busy showing him the ropes and sharing his expertise and knowledge of our building and site. The school was built in 1970 as an open plan school for 140 children and has undergone many extensions since then. There is lots to learn!

PTFA Money

Many thanks to you all for your generous support of the PTFA events and funding raising over the last two years. As a result, the school will benefit from a new server and operating system for the school network very shortly and also two clever touch boards which are being fitted in both Year 4 classrooms during the holiday. Our school budget is very tight and so we are particularly pleased to benefit in this way. Thank-you all.

Kyson End of Year 6 Data

The school has enjoyed yet another successful year according to the statutory KS2 national assessment system. Many congratulations to all the children and staff for working so hard.

The Summer Reading Challenge “Animal Agents”

Your child is invited to sign up at Woodbridge Library to join the “Animal Agents” summer reading challenge and collect their “collector folder”. Each time your child reads a book from the library they will collect clues and “stinky stickers”. Their mission is to try to use their wits and powers of observation to solve a mystery and catch a crafty crook. This is a great fun way to keep your child reading throughout the Summer.

Plastic bits

Can you help? We would be really pleased if you could send your child into school THIS Friday with a plastic bag containing clean plastic bottles, plastic containers and plastic wrappers ...... all will become clear on Friday! Thank you

Yours sincerely

PS A plea to all our violinists ......

A Y6 child has lost their violin from the music room. It is ¾ size and in a black case, unfortunately unnamed. We would be really grateful if you would check your child’s violin to ensure you have the right one. Many thanks.
