Applications are invited from contractors meeting the criteria below to be considered for inclusion on a list of up to 6 firms to be invited to tender for the following works:

The works are for special revenue and Health & Safety Works to a five storey block of 8 maisonettes and three flats built in 1968, located in Strule Park, Omagh. The works include a new lightweight pitched and hipped trussed roof, rendering to external walls, double glazed windows with a fire escape window to all habitable rooms, new entrance communal door, five resistant doorsets to all entrance doors to maisonettes, repainting to metal fire escape stairs and upgrade to existing communal lighting.

The estimated value of the proposed works is £121,638

The duration will be 16 weeks and the proposed date of commencement is November 2012.

Applicants MUST:

a)  Demonstrate that they meet the minimum financial criteria of:

(1) In each of the past 3 years have an turnover of at least £300,000 and

(2) Have a Category Value for Building General, Building General (Social Housing) or Building Refurbishment of at lease equal to, or greater than the estimated cost of the works.

Applicants registered with Constructionline, and have an ‘Active’ status should complete the application on the next page.

Applicants not registered with Constructionline should request a financial questionnaire from quoting the Project No. above. The Financial questionnaire must be completed in full and returned with supporting documentation by the closing date.

b)  Demonstrate that they meet the technical criteria:

a valid 3rd party certification of the Health and Safety (H&S) Management System satisfying the requirements of the Buildsafe N.I. Initiative; and

a valid health and safety competence assessment certificate issued by an organisation that is a member of the Safety Systems in Procurement Forum (SSIP)

Ø  Provide, on the application attached, details of works of a similar nature, value & complexity undertaken within the past 5 years to domestic housing.

There is no requirement to submit any documentation other than that requested in this PQQ but the Housing Executive reserves the right to clarify any information and seek evidence of same or require further explanation from applicants.
