2. PURPOSE OF JOB

2.1Arrange for the approval of all invoices and credit card statements and then enter their details into the accounting system (PeopleSoft).

2.2Process all expense claims made by UK staff.

2.3Produce regular and ad-hoc financial reports for management.

2.4Be the first port of call for questions about the finance part of the PeopleSoft system.

2.5Take an active participation in the devotional life of the Trust.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

3.1Prepare all invoices, credit card statements and expense claims for the bookeeper andenter these details into PeopleSoft.

3.2Use Hyperion to produce monthly and ad-hoc reports of expenditure against budget or forecast for the Zacharias Trust and for each country within the EMEA Region.

3.3Assist with monthly forecasts of annual expenditure based on the budget and the year-to-date actuals.

3.4Support the introduction of various PeopleSoft finance modules, especially training and helping less frequent users and liaising with the Finance team in RZIM’s US office.

3.5Order new credit cards and be the Zacharias Trustmain point of contact for the credit card companies.

3.6Assist with the production of the annual budget for all UK departments, investigating actual against budgeted spending.

3.7Set up new payments on company bank account when necessary to ensure timely payments.

3.8Perform other duties as and when may be required to support the activities of the Trust and the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA).

4. PERSON PROFILE

4.1Graduate or equivalent standard of higher education, preferably with a Finance focus.

4.2Strong numerical ability.

4.3Experienced and confident using computer systems; able to use Excel to at least an intermediate level to manipulate and present data, including use of complex formulas and add-ons.

4.4Previous experience and familiarity with accounting systems is highly desirable.

4.5Ideally at least one year’s experience in an office environment, preferably in a financial role.

4.6Knowledge of financial recording and reporting processes would be an advantage.

4.7Good interpersonal skills, ideally with experience of dealing with individuals at a range of levels within an organisation.

4.8Strong written and verbal communication skills.

4.9Experience of working well with others, including as part of a team.

4.10An understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

4.11A flexible attitude including a willingness to take on a variety of tasks and to embrace new challenges.

4.12Open and honest, and in sympathy with the aims, ethos and work of RZIM.
