EMPIRE PLAY CENTRE HOLYHEAD

CONDITIONS OF HIRING

1. Application form

(a) All applications for the hire of the Play Centre shall be made on the official applications form and the person by whom it is signed shall be deemed to be the hirer.

(b) The parties hiring the Play Centre shall pay the fee in accordance with the prescribed scale. Such fee to be paid in advance.

2. The Council hereby reserves the right to cancel any letting at anytime. In this eventuality, any fees paid will be refunded to the hirer, but the Council shall not be liable to pay any compensation to any person in respect of the cancellation of the letting.

3. Sub-Letting

The hirer shall not under any circumstances assign or sub-let any interest he/she may have in the hire of the Play Centre, without the previous consent of the Council in writing.

4. The parties hiring the Play Centre shall, at all times, maintain good order and decent behaviour in the building during the periods of hiring, and shall be responsible for any damage or breakage occurring to the building, fixtures or furniture during such period of hiring and shall re-imburse the Council the cost of repairing such damage or breakage or whatever charge the Council may deem proper. A member of staff will inspect the Play Centre and the hirer should make a responsible person available to accompany the member of staff.

5. Electrical fittings

No electrical or other fitting or appliance in the Play Centre shall be altered, removed, or in any way interfered with or additional fitting or appliance installed in connection with any function without the prior approval of the Complex Manager.

6. The Council's representative shall grant or refuse any application for the hire of the Play Centre as they deem proper, notwithstanding any deposits which may have been paid.

7. Conduct of patrons

The hirer shall provide the proper number of attendants for efficient supervision and safety and for maintaining order, and shall be responsible for the proper conduct of persons using the Play Centre, and in the event of any person acting in such a manner as to cause annoyance or inconvenience to other persons, or likely to cause a breach of the peace, the hirer shall take all necessary steps to deal with the offender.

8. a. No more than 40 children to be allowed into the Play Centre for private hire.

b. No more than 15 children for a non-private hire birthday party.

9. No refreshment shall be brought into the Play Centre without the prior consent of the Complex Manager.

10. Party pre orders for food must be returned no later than 7 days prior to your booking. Failure to do so will not guarantee pre-order being adhered to.

11. The complimentary gift for the birthday child is based on 1 gift per party booking. In the event of parties for more than one child, the Council reserves a right to add additional charges for extra gifts as requested.

12. The Council representatives shall have access to the Play Centre at all times during the period of hire.

13. Complaints

Any complaints with regard to the management and control of the premises must be made in writing to the Complex Manager.

14. Dispensation or modification of the rules

The Council hereby reserves the right to dispense with or modify any of the foregoing rules in any particular case if in their opinion there are special circumstances justifying such action.

15. The conduct of business or performances etc.

The hirer shall manage and conduct the performances or business during the period of hire so as not to injure the reputation of the premises, or offend against any Statute or any of the regulations of the Council.

16. The hirer shall hereby undertake not to alter seating accommodation and leave the fire exits and doors free from any obstruction.

17. There must be NO SMOKING in any part of the building.
