Reading Vocabulary:
damp-slightly wet.
sprout- when something begins to grow.
suppose- to think something is true.
roost- when birds perch or sleep in a tree.
spears- to stick something sharp into something else.
strike- to hit something.
glimpse- to get a quick peek at something.
maze- a winding set of paths that is like a puzzle.
transformation- the process of going through a change.
harmony- to be in agreement, living peacefully.
Science Vocabulary:
mass- the amount of matter an object has.
volume- the amount of space the object takes up.
length- the distance from one end of an object to another.
energy- the ability to do work or to cause change.
sound energy- energy we can hear.
mechanical energy- energy that motion or position gives to an object.
electrical energy- the movement of electric charges.



/ Math Vocabulary:
pattern-things that are arranged following a rule or rules.
skip counting- counting forward or backwards by a number other than one.
even numbers- numbers that can be divided exactly by 2.
odd numbers- numbers that can not be divided exactly by 2.
rule-a matrix with only one row.
