Thank you for your interest in Kent Mountain View Academy! Our award winning, Washington State recognized academy is a small, choice school providing families with an option in education. We are located in the Kent School District serving students in grades 3 – 12. We are home to three distinct programs to meet the needs of our students and their families:

Choice Program Admission Process

Step I: Complete the Application

If your student is currently enrolled in the Kent School District, use the Inside KSD application.

If your student attends school outside of the Kent School Districtor is homeschooled, use the Outside KSDapplication. All documents requested in the form must be submitted to the school before the application is complete.

Step II: The Interview – Scheduled only if openings are anticipated

After receiving your completed application and upon review, our staff may contact you for an interview based on grade-level anticipated openings. If you are contacted, the interview and school tour should take about an hour, and both the student and a parent/guardian should attend. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete additional paperwork prior to your appointment.

Step III: Notification of Admission Decision

All families who apply and are interviewed will be notified by May 31 if your student is admitted for the 2017-18 school year. Placement is not based on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are accepted March1 – April 28.

Step IV: Acceptance for the 2017-18School Year
