Position Title: Development Coordinator

Supervisor: Director of Development

Position Summary:

Coordinates operational aspects of Development department, including administration, outreach, research, special events, and communications.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Conducts all activities related to community outreach and workplace giving, including: United Way campaigns, community & health fairs, corporate events, and volunteer coordination. Compiles year-end outreach efforts from other areas.
  • Manages social media sites for BCAC, including: regular Twitter & Facebook posts, Instagram, LinkedIn, and creation of online content for BCAC website and YouTube.
  • Coordinates new donor relationship engagement.
  • Compiles newsletter, direct mail, and other communications.
  • Conducts donor prospecting and research, assisting in coordination of special events, parlor meetings, and annual campaign as well as other duties and tasks to further the financial resources of the agency.
  • Coordinates gift processing -runs weekly gift report and generates thank yous/acknowledgments.
  • Implements robust follow up and tracking of Annual Fund Campaign.
  • Manages in-kind donations, including logistics and data entry/tracking.
  • Assists in development of marketing content.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Skills:

  • College degree preferred.
  • One to two years’ experience in non-profit development, communications or in a related non-profit position
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact, Blackbaud, and CRM programs strongly preferred
  • Experience using social media tools to support communications
  • Positive, problem-solving attitude with exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and projects; excellent time management skills.

Additional:

  • This position is full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Ability and willingness to perform occasional evening and weekend work
  • Must have own reliable means of transportation.
