St. Olaves Village Hall - Hire Agreement

PARTIES:(1) St. Olaves Village Hall (Registered Charity No: 270565) acting by its management committee ("SOVH").

(2) The person or organisation named in clause 1.2 ("Hirer").

1. IT IS AGREED as follows:

In consideration of the hire fee set out in clause 1.3, the SOVH agrees to permit the Hirer to use St. Olaves Village Hall and its facilities for the purpose specified in clause 2. on the date(s) and for the period(s) set out in clause 1.1. The details inserted in clauses 1.1 to 6 below are terms of this agreement. This Hire Agreement includes the annexed Standard Conditions of Hire, Guide for the Use of the Village Hall, and the Special Conditions of Hire (if any) set out herein.

*Payment in full of the Hire Fee will normally be required on signing of this agreement. In addition, SOVH may require payment of a returnable deposit. Any such deposit will be repaid in full within 28 days after the hiring, subject to any deduction which might be needed to cover the cost of any loss, damage or additional cleaning bills suffered by SOVH as a result of the hiring. In the event that any deposit is insufficient to cover those costs, the Hirer will be invoiced with the balance, which shall be paid within 28 days after the date of the hiring.

3. Licences

3.1The SOVH has a licence with the Performing Rights Society for the performance of copyright music in the Village Hall.

3.2It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure that any other appropriate Licence is in place if any regulated entertainment and/or licensable activities will take place. Such activities may include: the performance of plays; the exhibition of films; indoor sporting events; boxing or wrestling entertainment; the performance of live music; the performance of dance; dancing; the provision of hot food/drink after 11 pm; the sale of alcohol.

4. Special Conditions

5. The Hirer agrees with the SOVH to be present (by its representative, if appropriate) during the hiring and to comply fully with this Agreement.

6. None of the provisions of this Agreement are intended to or will operate to confer any benefit pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 on a person who is not named as a party to this Agreement.
