Alphington Junior Football Club
Minutes, Committee Meeting 12/4/2010
In Attendance: Nigel Odell, Greg McLeod, Richard Finch, Larry de Zoete, Gilles Gundermann, Andrew Donald, Simon Normand. Alex Newman-Rogers.
- Under 11 fees are set at $100
- For each team conformation was obtained as to which players had paid, supplied photographs, and self registered. Greg will now accept these registrations. If any of these registrations are declined, Greg will let the respective team coach know that these players are ineligible. Under no circumstances are coaches to play ineligible players.
- Andrew to follow upwith the FFV about the transferring of players and the FFV and FFA component of registration fees.
- Simon, Nigel, Larry and the people running the Canteen will receive a club room key.
- Each team is to receive new socks and shorts. The under 15 team have just received new shirts. The under 13 team is to receive new training tops and a goalkeeper top. Any other shirt requirements should be passed on to Greg.
- Jackets are $25.
- Greg to look into the possibility of acquiring beanies.
- When the Canteen is in operation the money for the referees will be left with the people who run the canteen. It is the responsibility of the team manager of the last team playing at Alphington Park on a Sunday to ensure that the referee receives his or her money.
- Gilles is to chase up Wheelie Bins for the nets.
- The pitch will be marked out every Friday.
- According to FFV regulations we have to provide two security people for each home game. One of the security people is to escort the referee to and from his or her room at the beginning and end of the game as well as at half time. No one else is to come into the rooms under the pavilion on match day as it is the referee’s domain (the exception being the First Aid area which has a separate entrance.
- Changing Rooms: The two rooms furthest from the canteen are the girls changing room. The two rooms nearest the Canteen are the boys changing rooms. The TV room is for Alphington Boys.
- No balls are to be taken into the changing rooms (especially the room with the television and the television is not to be turned on.
- According to the bylaws of the City of Yarra dogs must be on leads when sporting events are on.
- Apparently, the lights will withstand a light drizzle, but they are not fully waterproof. Alex pointed out that we should not have cables out when it is raining as this could be dangerous. Hence, when it is wet the lights should be kept undercover.
- The television and kitchen equipment cost $1,071.
- Nigel informed the Committee that there is no requirement for the Club to provide first aid.
- Greg or Alex to put First Aid kit in First Aid Room. Ice packs are to be put in the Canteen.
- Gilles to obtain ice packs
- Greg is acquiring new balls for training:12 size 5 balls and 12 size 4 balls.
- Team Managers or Coaches need to enter results on the day of the game at Results Vault: Password – Arsenal , User code – alpnig.
- Alex to locate our Code of Conduct. And put on website
- All Committee Members to research Medical Release Form
- Andrew mentioned that the company his wife works for, Technica, would like to provide sponsorship to the club. The Committee agreed that in principal they are happy and willing to accept sponsorship from Technica. Andrew will investigate how this may be done in a way that best benefits the club and the company.
- It was unanimously agreed that Alphington JFC does not want to merge with Fitzroy city. It was argued that such a merger would not be in keeping with the ethos of a small community club like Alphington.
- The next Committee Meeting will be at 8.00 pm on Monday May 10 at the Club Rooms. Light refreshments will be provided.
