Dear Den 1 Cub Scout Parents,
Today we completed requirement e for Achievement 8, The Past Is Exciting and Important.We had a tour of the William Day House, built in 1853. We then went to McAdams’s Hardware Store and learned about its history as the village cobbler’s house and shop in the 1800s. We enjoyed lemonade at the soda shop on the town square.
Please have your son complete the attached family history, which is requirement 8d. He should bring it back to our next den meeting on October 11. Thank you.
We have a pack meeting on Tuesday, September 24. John James, a well-known naturalist, will present the program at that meeting.His visit will fulfill another requirement for advancement.
We need two drivers to volunteer for our upcoming field trip to the zoo on October 29. Please call me if you can help. Thank you.

Dear Den 2 Webelos Parents,
Today we completed the requirements for the Engineer activity badge.Kevin’s dad, Ernie Martin, came to our den meeting and taught us how to measure a property line and how electricity is generated and gets to our homes. We made electrical circuits, which your son has probably proudly shown you by now. Thank you for having your son draw the floor plan of your house.
We have a busy time ahead in Cub Scouting.Our next den meeting is Friday, Nov. 14. We will be completing the Athlete activity badge. We will take a field trip to City Fitness Center, where we will talk to a trainer about a fitness plan. This is part of the Sports pin for Physical Fitness, a requirement for the Athlete activity badge.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, your son’s popcorn will be delivered to your home by Mr. Johnson in mid-to-late morning. Please make sure that someone will be home. Thank you, Tim!Please begin delivering popcorn to customers that day.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, we have the pack meeting at 7 p.m. at school. All of our boys will receive the Engineer activity badge at that meeting.

Dear Den 3 Webelos Parents,
This evening we completed the Communicator activity badge. It certainly was fun tonight to visit the television station and be part of the weathercast.
Thanks to those who helped with the pack’s annual conservation project last Sunday.We had nearly 70 people there to help. Many, many thanks to Mark and Cathy Morgan for organizing this event for our pack this year and for the past five years.
We have a pack meeting on Tuesday, November 16, at 7p.m. at school. The boys in our den will be receiving their Communicator activity badges.
Our next den meeting is Friday, December 3, at 3:40 p.m. at school. If any adult family members would like to assist boys with woodworking projects at that meeting, please let me know.
