Additional Instructions:

Meeting notes for meeting on April 21, 2010.

·  Team charter is complete. Jennifer will post to PBWorks site.

·  Primary action item for all team members it to review the current business case documentation written from Omaha date April 19. This has been posted to the business case folder by John. At the next meeting please prepared to discuss content that we feel is missing.

·  Professor Mittleman reviewed primary deliverables:

o  Final product is due June 7, but it is desirable to have it done at least one week prior.

o  Review all material from Omaha edits. Objective is to build upon that material and make it better.

o  Review external sources for new materials. Also, there is content on the PBWorks site that should also reviewed for possible content that can be added to the final product.

o  Determine what is still is need.

·  John will work on developing a project schedule.

·  Notes from Professor Mittleman:

o  Review existing material

o  url PM page

o  [6:36:11 PM] Danny Mittleman: You are taking one Winter chapter straight and fixing/updating it, Omaha did edit and update so see the April 19 repository.

o  Few boundary conflicts with other chapters

o  This is an interesting practical problem that managers have to sell the value of bringing in new technologies (so, note that the issues for you are more around technologies than process)

o  Look at the articles out on bit.ly There are some templates.

o  If you search the web you will find lots more templates.

o  Business case is how a mgr proves value of the technology, but so many costs and benefits are non-quantitive, it can be tough to do

o  Provide a grounding of the concepts, but then give the manager/reader some recipes and advice to use.

o  Make sure your work is well cited.

o  Additional reference files are at http://bit.ly/pm440files

·  Professor Mittleman is planning to get together with PM and QC individuals within the next week.
