Weld County Youth Conservation Corps – 18+
Positions and Descriptions: Looking for 10 hard working young adults (18-24 yrs old) to join our AmeriCorps Chainsaw Operator/Service Crew program. You will have the opportunity to serve the communities and citizens of Weld County while also having the opportunity to earn money for college and earn a living stipend. We offer a variety of trainings/certifications and labor based work experiences. We operate on a team-based crew model, willingness to work with others and having positive attitude are a must! As our projects are primarily outdoors, participants must be willing to work in Weld County's extreme heat, high winds, and sporadic rainstorms. Come and join us! Crew works April 1st -- September 26, 2014, 900 service hours, Monday -- Friday, 8:00am -- 4:30pm, $950.00 monthly living stipend + $2,775 education award (scholarship) upon graduation from AmeriCorps (successful completion of 900 approved service hours.)
