·  Awarded “Junior Research Fellowship” (JRF) & “National Eligibility Test” (NET) certificate by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), India (2004).

·  Shortlisted for the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (SPM) fellowship amongst the top 20% of the awardees in the subject of life science (2006).

Research accomplishments:

·  Isolated cry1Ac gene (cry1Ac18) for the purpose of developing biopesticide or transgenic plants. NCBI GenBank Accession no DQ023296 (Biopestic. Int. 2006).

·  Developed a live attenuated oral vaccine against Salmonella (PLoS ONE, 2011).

·  Involved in designing India's 1st needless vaccine delivery device (Clinical and Vaccine Immunology, 2011; Appl Microbiol Biotechnol, 2012).

·  Developed a quick and reliable PCR based method, for the diagnosis and serovar determination of Salmonella strains (Journal of Clinical Microbiology, 2009).
