Purple Class Inspire Day

On Monday 22nd May Purple Class will be hosting their second Inspire Day of the school year. To match with the children’s interests will be spending the day at local beaches with a picnic lunch. We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to join us for all or part of the day. At the moment plans are still being finalised and the day will fit with normal school times but an initial outline for the day is given below.

Proposed itinerary – subject to adjustment in light of tide times.

Morning– leave school at approximately 9:30 to walk towards beaches between Norton Grange and Fort Victoria.

Activities – beach comb with large beach art inspired by what we find.

Stone castle competition.

Picnic and games at grass area – Fort Victoria.

Afternoon – head back to Yarmouth (location to be confirmed) for approximately 1:00.

Activities - Crabbing

Return to school for approximately 2:00 – 2:15 for ice cream/ice lolly with story.

Clothing and belongings.

Children should come to school dressed in their school shirt/jumper with sensible bottoms and shoes/wellies for the beach. Please be mindful of the weather and make a decision on the day as to whether children will need a coat, sun cream, sunhat etc. To help them enjoy the day we recommend that if children have access to a bucket and spade they bring them with them on the day. They will also need a packed lunch – please specify below if you will need a school packed lunch.

Please complete the slip below to let us know if you are able to join us for all or part of the day. We hope as many of you as possible will be able to take part in our Inspire Day.

Please return forms no later than Monday 15th May.
