SALARY:29 -33 (£26,662 - £29,893) incl. of Outer London Weighting

JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for developing and building the infrastructure of a Big Lottery funded ETE project (Project Stride) to ensure effective delivery. The role will be responsible for directing, organising and overseeing the day to day implementation and co-ordination of the project, providing guidance, supervision and support to staff and volunteers. The role will also build effective relationships with stakeholders and ensure that monitoring, evaluations and reporting take place.

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES

Project Development

  • Develop an annual project plan identifying key milestones and oversee itsimplementation,including any actions to ensure effective performance.
  • Identify opportunities to promote and represent the project, and to establish partnership working, including for purposes of referrals, ETE placements, satellite provision
  • Work with colleagues to establish high quality, effective learning environments for trainees to benefit from the project at its primary sites (Brent, Ealing and Harrow).
  • Create a project schedule to deliver a timetable of ETE activities, coaching and support, including online support, and to ensure it is integrated into local EACH projects.
  • Work with the ETE coaches and online tutor to design and develop one-to-one support, classroom and online based learning, ensuring it is linked to employability.
  • Develop a peer volunteers programme to recruit, skill up and utilise volunteers within the project.
  • Lead on development of ETE resources for participants to access, including on-line.

Project Delivery

  • Professionally represent EACH in local partnerships and contribute to borough-wide initiatives appropriate to meet needs of the project’s client groups.
  • Co-ordinate the schedule and delivery of the ETE programme, ensuring it meets the needs of the client groups (substance misuse, mental health, domestic violence).
  • Deliver a peer volunteer programme to enable ex-service users and other volunteers to contribute to the project.
  • Identify and engage with stakeholders, including JobCentre staff, potential employers and businesses which could provide placements, technical support, mentoring.
  • Develop and maintain up to date information on ETE opportunities and provision available.

Staffing

  • Recruit, manage and support staff and volunteers in line with EACH’s policies and procedures.
  • Provide supervision, including to ensure CPD, effective work-loads and individual performance.
  • Support and performance manage staff through team meetings, appraisals, team development events and service reviews.

Monitoring, Evaluations and Reporting

  • Ensure EACH’s monitoring information systems are implemented and the required data captured.
  • Track and report on project’s performance.
  • Provide narrative and statistical reporting for funder and internally as required.
  • Ensure that the work of the project is documented, e.g. training records.
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to identify, develop and implement an evaluation framework.
  • Capture and ensure service is responsive to feedback from project’s stakeholders, e.g. user consultations, questionnaires.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Management Responsibilities

  • Work with Executive and Senior teams and trustees to ensure EACH meets all of its statutory and legal obligations and responsibilities
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business development
  • Represent the organisation at meetings and to stakeholders
  • Provide reporting as part of the Senior Management Team, including to trustees where required.

Organisational Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with other team members and work constructively with colleagues and managers in all aspects of the work.
  • Participate fully with the agreed support structures for the post, including managerial supervision, case management, training events and appraisal and contribute positively to team meetings and planning and review days

  • Conduct all work within statutory responsibilities and within EACH’s policies procedures and professional guidelines e.g. Risk Management, Child Protection, Code of Ethics, Health & Safety and confidentiality policy.
  • Share information with professionals / agencies within the boundaries of the Data Protection Act, EACH’s confidentiality policy and any applicable information sharing protocols within the borough.
  • Work at all times with respect and sensitivity to the needs of volunteers and service users; ensuring they are listened to and that action required is consistently delivered.
  • Contribute to the development of user and carer involvement and support within the organisation.
  • Promote the aims and objectives and EACH and represent EACH at external meetings related to the work and as required by the manager.
  • Contribute to the review and development of EACH’s policies and practice.
  • Undertake all duties in line with the objectives of the post and any other tasks consistent with the nature and level of the post and as may be required by your line manager.
  • Where appropriate, staff may be asked to work at EACH’s projects in the different centres. Staff may also be required to work hours additional to contract hours, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Qualifications & Education /
  • Evidence of Continuous professional development and learning

Experience /
  • Solid track record of working within an environment that supports recovery for service users, e.g. substance misuse, mental health
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and managing projects or services
  • Experience of developing and managing stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Experience of managing staff and performance
  • Experience of managing and making sense of data to present information and write reports (internal or external use)
