Thomas Edison State University offers a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Securityand Emergency Management.The 120-credit degree program is offered completely online and complements the Master of Public Service Leadership, Master of Science in Homeland Security or Master of Science in Management - Public Service Careers degree programs at Thomas Edison State University.

Students are provided a broad view of homeland security and emergency management issues focusing on policy considerations and aligning with the five National Preparedness System mission areas of prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery. Course work examines homeland security, emergency management, law enforcement and business continuity issues. The program is intended for adults who want to learn the fundamentals of homeland security and emergency preparedness and prepares students for the day-to-day decision-making required in the post-9/11 era.
