Playing Slots

To play the slot machines game, the user must complete the following steps. First, type in your username and password and login to the entertainment center. Next, click the “Play Slots” button at the main navigation screen. For each spin, first type in the amount you would like to bet, and then click the spin button. See the steps below for a more detailed description.

  1. At the login screen pictured below, click into the textbox titled “Username” and type your username. Then click into the box titled “Password” and type your password. Complete the login process by clicking the button titled “Login.”
  1. At the main navigation screen pictured below click the button “Play Slots.” This will start up a new slot machines game.
  1. You should now see the screen pictured below. To complete a spin, follow the following three steps (a. - c.):
  2. Click in the textbox titled “Bet” and enter the amount you would like to bet. You can bet any amount as long as you have enough credits.
  3. Click the button titled “Spin”
  4. Note how your credits have changed. You can see this in the textbox titled “Credits Available.”
  5. To end the game, click the button titled “Go Back to Main Navigation.”

Connect Four

To play Connect Four, the user must complete the following steps. First, type your username and password and login to the entertainment center. Then click the button titled “Play Connect Four” on the main navigation screen. You then must wait until an opponent joins your game. When it is your turn, click the arrow above the desired column to place a piece. A message will appear when someone has won the game. Click the “Quit” button to finish the game. For a more detailed description of these steps, read below.

  1. At the login screen pictured below, click into the textbox titled “Username” and type your username. Then click into the box titled “Password” and type your password. Complete the login process by clicking the button titled “Login.”
  1. At the main navigation screen pictured below click the button “Play Connect Four.” This will start up a new Connect Four game.
  1. You should now see a screen similar to the screen below. If a message is displayed that says “Waiting for Opponent,” you must wait until an opponent joins the game. When an opponent joins, a message will be displayed assigning you a color (red or yellow) and a user number (User1 or User2). When a message is displayed that says it is your turn (the message in the picture below indicates it is User1’s turn), complete the following steps (a. – b.):
  2. Point your mouse over the arrow at the top of the column you would like to place a piece and click that arrow.
  3. Note the updated game board.

*Note: At anytime, you can send instant messages to your opponent by clicking in the textbox at the bottom of the screen, typing your message, and clicking the button titled “Submit.”

  1. You will alternate turns with your opponent until someone has one by placing of their color pieces in a row (any direction). A message will be displayed when the game has ended indicating the winner.
  2. You can quit a game at anytime by clicking the button titled “Quit.” However, you should only do this after the game has ended. If you quit in the middle of a game, you will lose credits and your opponent will gain credits. The quit button will return you to the main navigation screen.

Account Management

To add credits to your account or change your password, you must follow the following steps. First type your username and password at the login screen and login. Next, click the button titled “Account Management” at the main navigation screen. Click the corresponding button for either changing your password or adding credits and type in the required information. For a more detailed description of each step, read below.

  1. At the login screen pictured below, click into the textbox titled “Username” and type your username. Then click into the box titled “Password” and type your password. Complete the login process by clicking the button titled “Login.”
  1. At the main navigation screen pictured below, click the button “Account Management.” This will take you to the Account Management screen.
  1. In the account management screen pictured below, you can change your password and add credits to your account.

To change your password:

Type in your username for validation and then click the button titled “Change Password.” Two textboxes will appear next to the “Change Password” button, click in the first textbox and type in your new password. Click in the second textbox and re-type your password. Click the “Change Password” button again to submit the changes.

To add credits:

Click the button titled “Add Credits.” A textbox will appear next to the “Add Credits” button, click in this textbox. Type in the amount of credits you would like to add. Complete the process by clicking the “Add Credits” button again.

  1. To exit the Account Management screen, click the button titled “Return to Main Navigation.” This button is not pictured in the image above, but it will appear in the lower right hand corner of your screen.

Learn Slots and Learn Connect Four

These two “learning modes” will follow the same basic steps as their corresponding real-game descriptions above. The only differences will be that there will be no steps involving credits (e.g. placing a bet).
