Skill Set and Job Description / Knowledge Partnership Programme (KPP)
  • Designed and funded by the UK Department for International Development
(DFID) to support the delivery of a UK-India partnership to reduce global poverty.
  • Aims to build knowledge partnerships between India and developing countries by generating and sharing lessons, expertise and promising practice.
  • Currently structured around five priority themes (1) food security and resource scarcity; (2) trade and investment; (3) health; (4) women and girls;(5) Development Effectiveness
  • Currently managed by a Consortium led by IPE Global Private Limited under its Knowledge Initiative.
Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary):
  • Responsible for presenting accurate monthly financial forecast.
  • Financial monitoring of the sub-contracts.
  • Update and take responsibility to develop weekly financial tracker and Deliverables Tracker with the help of procurement team.
  • Support the Senior Programme Manager in providing overall supervision, ensuring quality assurance on delivery of outputs and maintaining effective communication with the team members.
  • Coordinate with the Research Associates and ensure timeliness for all workstream related outputs.
  • Track and monitor payments, partner’s deliverables and share it with DFID.
  • Support the SPM and the TL in managing various stakeholders outside the programme including potential partners, government agencies, research institutions, NGOs and think tanks.
  • Ensure that the partnership doesn’t exceed beyond the allocated financial limit.
Job Description:
  • Supporting the Senior Programme Manager in developing programme strategies and financial tools, developing operational guidelines, monitoring and evaluation framework;
  • Working in close coordination with DFID Programme Officer in managing the programme;
  • Contributing to relevant sections of the quarterly progress report;
  • Assisting the Team Leader and Policy Leads as per requirement;
  • Negotiating, preparing and reviewing funding proposals, contracts and agreements, and support the Contracts & Funds Manager;
  • Working closely with Contracts and Fund Manager and Policy Advocacy and Knowledge Manager;
  • Demonstrating compliance with all legislation and DFID/IPE policies and procedures;
  • Undertaking training as required and agreed with manager;
  • Promoting appropriate behaviour to support IPE’s values, culture, performance and brand.
  • As the role evolves, the scope of work will widen.

Qualifications & Experience /
  • A relevant (economics, finance, commerce/statistical) undergraduate qualification, together with 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Postgraduate degree is desirable.
  • Proven track record in identifying, researching and cultivating relationships with corporations and industry, the public service and NGOs, to support a portfolio of activities of the programme
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and financial monitoring
  • Experience in developing and coordinating outreach and engagement activities such as public lectures, forums, workshops, seminars, conferences and publications
  • A high level of enthusiasm, flexibility, self-motivation and initiative
  • Understanding of International Development/Social sector
