Guidelines on Mentoring Assignments in Westmeath Local Enterprise Office, by agreeing to take on a mentor assignment with Westmeath Local Enterprise Office the Mentor agrees to the terms below.

  • Upon completion of the mentoring assignment, mentors are asked to submit a report on their work using the LEO Mentor Report Form. Mentors are asked to use the LEO Mentor Report Form for each meeting /session they attend with their client.
  • Along with an invoice for work completed, each mentor must ensure an up to date Tax Clearance Certificate is made available to Westmeath Local Enterprise Office.
  • Mentors should have their own professional indemnity insurance and provide Westmeath Local Enterprise Office with a copy of same.
  • Please note time spent travelling to and from meeting with a client is not to be included as time spent on mentoring. Mentors are requested to note the time their meeting starts and finishes with a client and invoice accordingly.
  • Staff members of Westmeath Local Enterprise Office may attend mentoring sessions with clients.
  • Clients receiving mentoring support will be asked to complete an evaluation of the mentoring programme.
  • Upon completion of a mentoring assignment, clients may wish to remain working with you. This will not be subsidised by Westmeath Local Enterprise Office. Once the LEO mentoring is complete, both parties are free to conclude with an arrangement that suits both parties. We would ask that while mentoring is taking place, mentors do not engage in a private arrangement with clients.
  • Mentors who are providing training on behalf of LEO are not allowed to promote their own mentoring services though the training course.
  • Mentors are required at all times to maintain all client information strictly confidential.
