97.3 & WKBC AM-800 Scholarship Program / April 15 / WKBC AM & FM is offering a scholarship to assist one outstanding broadcasting student with expenses for college. Applicant must be a high school senior, provide an official transcript, provide two letters of recommendation, write an essay (typed, 500 words) describing why you are interested in Broadcasting and which career path you wish to pursue.

Agnes Preston Need Scholarship (Awarded by First Presbyterian Church) / April 15 / Students interested in majoring in music will be given first preference.
Belk Scholars at UNCC / n/a / The Belk Scholars Program offers students the opportunity to earn both a Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in five years.

CMARC Scholarship Program / March 5 / Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Council (CMARC) will be offering their Scholarship Program this year to current high school seniors who have relocated to the Charlotte area sometime between grades 9 and 12.
Cora L Freeze Scholarship (Awarded by First Presbyterian Church) / April 15 / Students interested in majoring in education will be given first preference.
Gene Vaughan Scholarship (Awarded by First Presbyterian Church) / April 15 / Applicant must be a member of First Presbyterian Church, Mooresville NC
Gordon Hay Scholarship / March 18 / Career potential in a non-performance area of the performing arts as evidenced by the student’s portfolio and appropriate references, Desire to enrich the lives of others through the performing arts, Exemplary high school academic performance, Demonstrated pursuit of personal excellence and commitment to community engagement, Proof of enrollment at a four-year accredited university or college with undergraduate study directly related to a career in a non-performance area of the performing arts.

Iredell County ECA Scholarship / April 1 / The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students in obtaining a degree at any North Carolina college, in any field of study, with priority given to Family and Consumer Sciences.
Iredell County Farm Bureau / April 1 / Student must complete application including a recent photo, SAT/ACT scores, and an official transcript, Applicant’s parent(s) must complete the confidential financial data form. Preference is given to Iredell County farm Bureau members pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field.
James Michael Drye Scholarship (Awarded by First Presbyterian Church and the Drye Family) / April 15 / This scholarship is presented to a deserving graduate of LNHS, MHS, or SIHS who will attend an accredited college/ university after graduation.
Judge George Fuller Memorial Scholarship / March 7 / The Judge George Fuller Memorial Scholarship is available this year to Iredell Countyhigh school seniors with an emphasis on academics and financial need.

Kiwanis Club of Statesville Scholarship / May 6 / Applicants must complete application packet, submit two letters of recommendation from high school teachers, and one letter of recommendation from someone in the community. Scholarship recipient will be required to attend a regularly scheduled Statesville Kiwanis Club evening meeting upon graduation to receive their scholarship award.
Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship / March 24 / • Demonstrated ability and great interest in one or more areas of the performing arts, Desire to pursue an undergraduate major in a discipline related to the performing arts (e.g. music, dance, theatre, technical theatre, arts administration and teaching), Cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher, Accepted to enroll as a full-time student by a university or college with an established performing arts program, Financial need

Michael A DeMayo Scholarship / March 18 / Applicants must submit a completed application, a recent photo, a presentation that encourages teens to abstain from underage drinking and driving and/or highlights the dangers of drinking and driving, high school transcript, SAT/ACT scores, two letters of recommendation.

Mooresville Rescue Squad Foundation/ Bob James Scholarship / March 31 / Scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who desires to serve others by choosing a career in public service. Applicant must complete application, submit a letter of recommendation from a community member, and participate in an interview.
NAACP – Statesville Branch / April 30 / Applicant must: be a current Statesville Branch NAACP member in good standing at least 6 months prior to filing application, complete and submit application by deadline, have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

NC Retail Merchants Association / April 4 / The NCRMA is accepting applications for this scholarship from students who work in retail or have parents who work in retail. More information and application materials available at http://www.retailpaysforcollege.org
PAL of Iredell Scholarship / April 1 / Recipient must graduate from an Iredell Statesville High School, have a minimum weighted GPA of 2.5, have earned seven units of credit in performing ensembles by the end of the senior year, complete an application, plan to attend an institute of higher learning.
People Helping People Scholarship (SECU Foundation) / Due to Mrs. Lehew by April 8 / Each year the SECU Foundation funds one $10,000 scholarship for a student at each public high school in NC to attend a public NC university. Although the SECU Scholarship Program wishes to recognize academic achievement, the “People Helping People” Scholarship has a much broader purpose; recognizing leadership, integrity, and community involvement.

Robert Walker Wright Memorial Scholarship / March 14 / Country Boy Landscaping and the Checkers Charitable Foundation are excited to present the 2nd Annual Robert Walker Wright Memorial Scholarship. United Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program / March 31 / The purpose of the United Federal Credit Union Scholarship program is to recognize academic excellence and community support provided by our young members.Applicant must:
·  Be an active member of United Federal Credit Union as evidenced by at least six months of membership and a savings and/or checking account in their name;
·  Be a graduating high school senior;
·  Demonstrate a commitment to community services;
·  Be accepted as an incoming freshman at an accredited college, trade school or university;
·  Achieve one of the following academic requirements:
·  A cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4-point scale) or 3.5 (on a 5-point scale)
·  An SAT score of at least 1511
·  An ACT score of at least 21.2

Varsity Tutors Scholarship Contest / Monthly awards / Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.
