March Day Tips

The march is 2 miles long.

Dress comfortably and in layers.

If you are going to be holding a sign, you will want gloves.

Be prepared for all weather.

Keep in mind that umbrellas are a challenge in a march. A poncho with hood is better.

This event will be fully policed for safety.

Follow direction given to you by Stewards or Police Officers.

If you see an unattended bag or package, report it immediately to the nearest Police Officer or steward.

In the case of an emergency, follow the instructions of the stewards and police.

We have a team of experienced legal observers attending the march.

We have 20 first aiders attending the first march with first aid kits.

We ask that people not meet up with friends and marching buddies in the square as it will be quite crowded and difficult to find each other. We have noted meetup spots by tube stations.

With so many people in the area, you may struggle to get mobile phone reception, so ensure you have a set meeting place in case you lose anyone.

Keep your belongings with you at all times.

Drink plenty of water- bring water with you.

If you think you will get peckish, bring a snack.

As a reminder, we will not be providing toilets. The google map of the march has identified a few public toilets. For more options and accessibility information please click here…

There will be children’s activities in front of the US Embassy prior to the start of the march
