Dr Brown does most of our work and is an expert! They will come in 24/7 for c-sections as well. I don't want to be at an Emergency vet with someone who doesn't know my animals. We make the 45 min drive, just love them!!!

Successful treatment of Cushing’s for over 5 year period, experience with palate resection, and they stuck with me thru one situation where fear-biting arose. While their rescue-focus is on Golden Retrievers, they have good breed knowledge regarding Bostons.

I have found Pilchuck to be very reasonable. Dr. Duke is a little more expensive due to his extensive expertise. But if any one needs to have the OFA testing done, Dr. Duke is one of the few vets in our area who is certified to do the OFA testing.
They also provide Holistic and Chiropractic care.

We have been very happy with The Family Pet, which is a vet clinic in Ballard. They have several vets, but our favorite is Dr. Hilmoe. Dr. Anderson is also good, but did meet one vet there we did not like (I think he wasn't much of a small dog lover), so I'd stick with one of these two.
I don't think Dr. Hilmoe specializes just in Bostons, but she is absolutely great with Louie. She's playful with him at first, but then she is so calm that she just settles him down right away. And she is very thoughtful - he's had some weird medical problems and she really spends time to think about the best way to approach them. Often she calls back after the visit with some additional insight she's thought of or read about. And someone from the office always calls us about 1-2 weeks after the visit to see if he is getting better.
The clinic staff and vet techs at The Family Pet are great, too. Louie loves going there because they all play with him and give him treats. They are always willing to fit us in if we're worried about something, even if it's last minute.

You really can't beat them. They also stay very up to date on the latest medical technology. They've recently started doing Laproscopic surgeries as well! Can't say enough about them. Excellent prices too!

Dr Jolivet is a very knowledgeable and caring vet. He never gives up. He and his colleagues have volunteered several times to help out with a rescue Boston at a reduced fee or for free. He owns three Bostons and a Frenchie.

Dr. Heather knows a lot about Bostons, it is true, but what I really love them for is the time we found a severely injured dog on the road (he was hit by a car) they were the only ones in the area willing to care for him...at their expense... and afterwards found a home for him! We called several vets including our own at the time and no one could see their way clear to take him. They love animals and couldn't just sit back and do nothing for him and we didn't have the money to pay for his care, after that, I knew we had found our vet!!! It showed me that they REALLY care. We have been going to them for about 5 years now and they have taken been very good to our two Bostons.
