Introduction:Strong Opinions
It seems as if it doesn’t matter too much about your credentials or your ______, just have an opinion and state it ______.
Even when it comes to ______, everyone feels entitled to their opinion.
I. God Does Not Want to Be Misrepresented
God wants people to speak ______about him. He has revealed himself to us through his creation, and through his ______, and through ______, and through his Spirit, so that we can know what he is like.
Job 42:7 God says to Eliphaz, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken of me what is right.”
The friends -- although they are eloquent and have strong conviction, they are also ______.
A specific example of when we misrepresent God: “God ______givesus more than what we can ______.”
2 Corinthians 1:8-9 “We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. … But, this happened that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God.”
The Bible does indeed say that God will not give us more ______then we can handle. (I Cor. 10:13)
The world does not need your ______about what you think about God. But, the world does need more ______.
II. Speaking Out Correctly For God
James 3:1“Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers and sisters, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”
Job has questions for God, and Job wonders what is going on, but he always keeps his ______in God.
We have to be comfortable with trusting in a God that we do not ______.
Job learns to speak ______about a God he does not always understand. But, it is a God who still ______him.
The truth about the death and resurrection of Jesus should also______and ______us.
Conclusion:
There is nothing more ______in the whole universe than to know the one who ______the whole universe.
