The Winona Council of Catholic Women acts through the National Council of Catholic Women and its affiliated organizations to support,empower and educate all catholic women in spirituality.leadership and service.WDCCW and NCCW programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the church and society in the modern world.
ST.ANTHONY COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN
ALL women of St.Anthony parish are considered members of the National,Winona,Slayton Area and St.Anthony Cpuncil of Catholic Women.
You are encouraged to become ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL,TO ATTEND MEETINGS.Almost every meetings I have attended over the years has offered physical nourishment in the way of snacks,present day life issues,prayer,sense of communityand fellowship.
We all have certain gifts given to us by our ever-loving God and thru this council we can find ways to offer the use of these gifts for the good of the parish and one another.
Meeting schedule for 2012-2013 year: meetings begin at 7p.m. with prayer in church basement.

POLICIES AND GUIDELINES FOR THE USE OF THE PARISH HALL:
+ RENT FOR NON-MEMBERS IS $25.00
+ PROVIDE YOUR OWN JUICE,NAPKINS,COFFEE.
+ PARENTS,please DO NOT ALLOW children to go upstairs into the church.
+ NO RED JUICE
+ AFTER THE EVENT-SPILLS ARE TO BE CLEANED,KITCHEN CLEANED AND MOPPED,VACUUM MAIN FLOOR.
+ DO NOT LEAVE ANY FOOD ETC BEHIND.
+ BRING YOUR OWN GARBAGE BAGS
+ for FUNERALS: IF WE AS A SERVING GROUP DECIDE WE NEED TO USE THE COMMUNITY CENTER FOR THE FUNERAL-WE PAY THE RENTAL.If the family of the deceased wants us to us the community center and we do have room at the parish,the family will then pay the center rental fee.

WEEKLY CLEANING:Assignmentd for the weekly cleaning is posted monthly in the parish bulletin and you will also be called and reminded.Duties are: dust the pews and altar-side altars-organ, vacuum carpet in ALL church entries and steps,
Vacuum the main floor(under pews) aisles,sanctuary, sweep steps outside if needed, wipe windows in entry if needed, clean BOTH men and womens bathrooms and refill needed supplies therein, throw out trash from bathrooms.
The maintenance group will issue a list with job assignments for the annual spring and fall cleaning.
Because of new health safety standards anyone who uses the parish hall MUST: vacuum the basement floor-wash and spray with bleach solution all tables and counters-remove garbage-remove any unused food or drink- if placing something left from meeting,meal,or parish fundraiserbe sure to label AND date food items.

I pray that in the coming year,the Holy Spirit opens your heart to becoming even more active in the life of the parish. When all chip I n to help the work load gets lighter.We have been a busy group thru the years and have helped better the parish thru the work done to improve the basement,the rework of the pews afew years back,and now the funding we are giving for the lift renovation.We have given monetary aid to many youth events thru the years,to “feed the Children”,to Mary&Martha’s Pantry and as gifts to the priest. We have done much and will continue to do much to help make St.Anthony’s a parish that is alive and kicking,we must continue to gather,to share and to welcome.
PASTORAL COMMISSION: (SPIRITUALITY)
RESPONSIBILITIES:THIS group is asked to promote the prayer life and spirituality of our parish and CCW members.as a group member you will greet new parish members,visit parents with newborns, visit shut-ins and the homebound,promote prayer for CCW meetings,Mass at least once a year for CCW meetings,Mass at Peterson estates,obtain people to recite the Rosary the months of Mary,promote the Baby Bottle campaign and Thanksgiving food drive,take the lead in planning funerals both liturgically and nutrition wise,deliver Christmas gits to shut-ins,send cards to ill parishioners and soldiers,pray for vocations,assist the Liturgy committee in any way needed.Have a member report to the CCW meetings when held.

FUNDRAISING COMMISSION: (SERVICE)
RESPONSIBILITIES:this group is responsible for planning and promoting fundraising events for the CCW group and parish needs.To plan an event with the input of the CCW group and do everthing needed to make it a productive event.Also have a member report to the CCW group at each meeting and will give updates on legislation parish members need be aware of.

RESPONSIBILITIES: obtain workers from the parish and or food for parish potlucks,brunches,festivals,First communion,graduation bacclaurette any parish gathering. To helppromote fellowship in our parish in any way possibleand also for the CCW,plan at least one Mass ayear for the CCW group,have a CCW event at Peterson estates,have one member attend each CCW meeting and give a report on the groups activities.Work to promote participation by all women of the parish,inform the women how we may work for any social unjustice in our world.

MAINTENANCE COMMISSIO N : (SPIRITUALITY)
RESPONSIBILITIES: assign cleaning dates and jobs in spring and fall to parish members,follow up with jobs that were not done,obtain needed cleaning supplies for the semi-annual cleaning and thru-out the year,obtain all supplies for the kitchen and bathrooms,monitor for repairs and replacement needs of damaged items in the building,arrange for carpet cleaning or spot cleaning,You are also asked to help promote the spiritual life of the parish especially out-reach to shut-ins and inactive Catholics. You need to have one member attend each CCW meeting and give a report of the groups activities
