How to Enroll at MATC

(for prospective students with disabilities who are not yet enrolled)

STEP 1: CONTACT Transition Services at (414) 297- 7839
Let them know that you are apersonwith a disability who would like assistance with the admissions process
and accommodations for theAdmissions Test. Transition is located in S215 on the Milwaukee campus. The
Transition Specialists are Carla Eichelberger (414) 297-7847 andKathy Miles (414) 297-8770.
STEP 2: MAIL COPIES of the following reports/documents to usat least 1 month
prior to the start of the semester of intended enrollment.
Current Documentation of Disability, as appropriate:
  1. Medical evaluation or medical statement on physician’s letterhead
  2. Audiogram & report
  3. Vision examination
  4. Complete psychological evaluation, including all scores and diagnosis
  5. Most recent I.E.P., if available

Requests for Admissions Test accommodations require 2-3 weeks for processing.
STEP 3: THINK ABOUT HOW YOU WILL PAY FOR YOUR CLASSES.
Apply early for Financial Aid Contact the Financial Aid Office,
or
 Contact D.V.R. (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation)
STEP 4: SCHEDULE YOUR ADMISSION TEST
When your MATC application, fee or fee waiver, official high school transcript,Documentation of
Disability, and request for accommodations have beenreceived and approved, you will be
contacted to set up an appointment foryour Admissions Test by Transition Services (414) 297-7839.
When you finish the test, youwill be given the results.
Admission Testing with accommodations ends 2 weeks prior to the start of each semester. Plan Ahead!!!
STEP 5: ACTIVATE YOUR MyMATC ACCOUNT
You will need your 7-digit MATC ID number, found on your acknowledgement letter, to activate your account.
STEP 6: MANDATORY NEW STUDENT ONLINE ORIENTATION
Visit and select the icon
Log in with your Username and password created when you activated your MyMATC account
Click MATC Online Orientation located on the right side under MyMATC Bookmarks
STEP 7: OBTAIN YOUR MATC ID. Available at Registration on each campus after you register for classes.
STEP 8: BUY YOUR BOOKS & SUPPLIES Bookstores are located on all campuses and on the
website: .
STEP 9: COMPLETE YOUR STUDENT ACCOMMODATION SERVICES PAPERWORK
before schoolstarts or stop in the Center located on each campuson the first day of class (414) 297-6750.
STEP 10: ATTEND YOUR CLASSES! Attend every class!
