Purpose / Support businesses across London to increase their competitiveness by offering appropriate procurement advice.

Key Responsibilities / Specific Tasks / Business Objective
Raise the profile of GLE oneLondon Enterprise Projects / ·  Identify, recruit and manage referral relationships with local business leaders, local council departments, financial intermediaries, professionals, trade bodies and community-based organisations to provide client referrals.
·  Execute outreach activities and conduct initial diagnostics to identify businesses that would benefit from Procurement, High Growth Finance and Innovation support.
·  Deliver Workshops / Networking events as required.
·  Represent GLE oneLondon in various relevant business, social and community settings.
·  Assist the Senior Team with business development activities where requested. / Ensuring a strong client flow to GLE oneLondon Enterprise Projects to achieve project and / or contractual targets
Procurement / ·  Conduct a Business Health Check / Diagnostic and Business Improvement Plan / Action Plan to assess businesses' needs and identify improvement strategies through procurement.
·  Lead on identifying and referring businesses to procurement and Meet-The-Buyer events.
·  Focus on identifying and supporting businesses tendering for contracts up to £110k.
·  Identify, recruit and manage referral relationships with tier 3 to 5 Buyers.
·  Identify clients’ training needs specific to procurement and encourage participation in learning opportunities.
·  Build the capacity of businesses with respect to PQQ, ITT and other tendering stages and procurement processes.
·  Maintain effective relationships with clients to enable the service to be fully evaluated, including telephone and postal follow-ups of clients who discontinue their programme. / Achieve GLE oneLondon Enterprise Project contractual obligations, including social impact and economic development targets.
Reporting / ·  Comply with the reporting requirements as set out by the Senior Manager / Enhance business operations, meet contractual obligations and track performance
Quality / ·  Comply with all relevant aspects of the Quality Manual
·  Report complaints to the Senior Team with any relevant recommendations
·  Inform the Senior Team of significant positive feedback from clients and / or funders / Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and improvement to GLE oneLondon operations.
Other / ·  Support the Senior Team with ad hoc duties related to this role as required
·  Work with colleagues to achieve team objectives
·  Attend meetings with clients, funders and / or other GLE staff across London
·  Attend work at any GLE office in London as requested by the Senior Manager / Assist GLE oneLondon to achieve both individual project and overall business objectives

Good understanding of and a proven ability to interpret financial information.
Good Business Plan analysis skills and a proven ability to recommend improvements.

Good report and tender writing skills.
Intermediate competency in MS Office software.

Knowledge & Experience / Good knowledge of:
·  London procurement opportunities
·  commercial tendering environment
·  local development and regeneration programmes
Some experience:
·  providing procurement advice and guidance to businesses
·  supporting businesses in collaborative tendering
·  co-ordinating small teams in target driven environments
Qualifications (or equivalent) / Specific qualifications / accreditations relevant to business support (i.e. SFEDI) / Procurement specific qualifications.
Conditions and Remuneration
Annual Salary / £29,000
Contract / Fixed Term contract until March 2014
Benefits / Pension after completing probation (typically 3 months)
Hours per week / 35 (9.30am – 5.30pm)
Location / 10-12 Queen Elizabeth Street, London SE1 2JN
Holidays per annum / 25 days
