West Lancashire Volunteer Centre recruits volunteers for over 200 hundred organisations and so there is a wide range of volunteering opportunities available.
Café Volunteer
We are seeking volunteers to help run a busy cafe. Variety of roles, including welcoming customers, clearing tables and cleaning the cafe & kitchen areas. (Ref: WL1143)
Mental Health Volunteer
Volunteers required to support service users whose primary issues relate to mental health, enabling them to express their views and providing them with information relating to their rights under the Mental Health Act.

Fundraising Volunteer
To assist the local Fundraising team in carrying out a number of roles including: collection boxes, flag
days, stall holder at local events in order to promote the fundraising activities of Guide Dogs locally. (Ref: WL684)
Community Advocate Volunteer
To support and enable clients to express their views and provide them with advocacy support around Health and Social Care issues. To provide advocacy outreach to further promote the service. (Ref: WL1137)
Online Engagement Volunteer
We're looking for someone with a passion for all things 'online' to help develop and increase the engagement with members of the public through social media platforms. You'll have the opportunity to be creative, make an impact and gain some valuable experience. (Ref: WL1139)
Sales Floor Assistant Volunteer
If you enjoy talking to people and can provide great customer service this could be the role for you. An interest in merchandising with retail or customer service experience would be beneficial. (Ref: WL968)
Online Library Volunteer
Volunteers required to work from home, in your own free time, to help add books to an online library. The free online library provides books in a flexible format to support readers who need books in an accessible format. You will edit, style and format MS Word files. Training is provided for this role (Ref: WL1063)
Understanding Dementia Volunteer
Volunteers required to work closely with staff and volunteer team, in effective communication with those living with dementia. This role is specifically for someone who has a proven track record of engaging with people with dementia. (Ref: WL1140)
