Title:Typist/Secretary

Based at: Altrincham Office

Job Summary:

As the Typist/Secretaryyour role will be to provide typing and administrative support to the Engineers and Office Manager. You should have fast and accurateaudio and copy typing skills, be a good communicator both written and verbally and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook which are used in conjunction with a bespoke management database system (training for which will be provided). This is a busy role that requires attention to detail andyou to be organised and able to prioritise your workload effectively to meet deadlines.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  1. Audio/copy typing of reports and general correspondence
  2. Monthly invoicing
  3. Responding to email requests / providing support and assistance to Engineers
  4. Dealing with telephone queries, taking messages or transferring calls to appropriate individuals
  5. Arranging travel and accommodation
  6. Scheduling appointments
  7. Organising and maintaining files (electronic / paper)
  8. Responding to client and colleague enquiries
  9. Completing forms in accordance with company procedures
  10. Ensuring ISO 9001 and IS0 14001 are adhered to
  11. Utilise the bespoke management database system
  12. Developing and implementing administrative systems
  13. Routine clerical and administrative tasks
