Dear Friends

I am Dr Santhosh Kumar SS, am an orthopedic surgeon from Kerala. I was elected the secretary of the MSF SARA board last year. And I hope I have done quite a good job as the secretary and as the chair of the communication committee. We as a board and me on the personal ground had given certain promises while I stood in the elections last year.

To register the association

To improve the meaningful membership

To start meaningful debates

To improve communications

To help the branch office in fund raising

To help the HR office in finding resourceful persons

To make the association truly regional

I have tried to accomplish all the above promises and of course it’s the achievement of the whole board than an individuals. The reports of the last years work, the communications you have received and of course your own participation and awareness would stand for the justification.

I have been into humanitarian work since 1992 and it has been my passion. I have worked with many other organizations though I started with MSF. Last year I had worked in Uttaranchal, Orissa and right now I am working in Central African Republic as a trauma surgeon. Every were I go I have found that MSF has been the leader and pioneer in any given situation. More over the democracy we practice, the openness to new ideas, sincerity with which we do our activities has no comparison. Perhaps that’s the reason why I stand again for elections in front of you. I would like to continue my activities in the same line with more sincerity and dedication.
