BOOKWORM OF THE WEEK: Congratulations to Izzy De Paz, the Buena Library’s final “Bookworm of the Week” for the 2017-2018 school year! An artist extraordinaire, Izzy’s imagination knows no bounds – and she has an amazing art portfolio to prove it! To top it off, Izzy has also been the main creative force behind all of the library’s “Bookworm of the Week” posters for this school year! Come see Izzy’s poster (featuring her favorite book, Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun) in the Library Media Center and pick up some bookmarks for your summer reading! – The Library Staff

PAWPRINT LITERARY MAGAZINE: Copies of the amazing 2018 Pawprint Literary Magazine are now available for purchase! You can buy them for just $5 from the library, ASB, Mrs. Childress (Rm 14), or Mrs. Lyans (Rm 33). Support Buena’s student writers and artists!
GIRLS SOCCER : Try-outs for any new or current Buena students will be on June 18, 19, 20, and 21 from 6-8PM at the stadium. You must have completed a sports physical to try-out. CALLING ALL SENIORS – GRAD NITE is happening June 14 from 9pm-3am at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and will feature music, dancing, carnival rides, games, prizes, food and much more! Tickets go on sale April 9th and are $30 through April, $40 through May, and $50 through June. Stop by the ASB store to pick up your permission slip and buy your ticket before prices increase!
