Induction and training
You will be given bothAWS volunteer induction and role training where necessary, for you to carry out your role effectively and be able to enjoy doing so with confidence. If any further relevant training is required, we will try to accommodate this whenever possible subject to availability and funding. All relevant training will be free to our volunteers.
You will need to be patient, have a flexible approach plus have an understanding of older peoples needs. We have fun so a good sense of humour will go down well!
What will you get out of volunteering for Age UK West Sussex?
Meeting new people, having fun and a sense of fulfillment. Plus if you are looking for a job, we can give you some experience whether you have worked, run an activity before or not and if your experience is out-of-date. We will train you so you will gain knowledge of working at our cluband being part of a team and that will help you in your search for a job.
