Building and District Level Overview

CRESC Novice Teacher (NT) Mentoring Program Provides

•Novice Teacher Mentoring Orientation Face-to-Face at each district

•Information about CRESC including resources and support available

•CRESC Novice Teacher Mentoring Three-Year Program

•A variety of avenues for PD Training including those on the CRESC Three Year Plan

•TESS 2.0 (formerly Law and Process) with choice of venue at the Co-op ortheir own district

•Work to incorporate specific needs of districtincluding alternate evaluation plan TAP

A variety of online resource collections through BloomBoard’sonline platform

•Facilitated online Monthly Reflection Rooms

•NTs will receive one-hour of Digital Learning PD credit for correctly submitted monthly responses

•Facilitated ongoing online Discussion Board with weekly topic support.

•Individual NT support as needed including services of CRESC Content Area Specialists

•A copy of Charlotte Danielson’s Book Enhancing Professional Practice: A Framework for Teaching

•Teacher Excellence Support System (TESS) Smart Cardand online ADE TESS Resources

•AR TESS Self-Assessment Survey Including online Pre and Post survey

•Organization of onsite District and Building Level systems of supportat each district

Novice TeacherExpectations and Requirements

•Expected to participant in weekly online Discussion Board in BloomBoard

•Expected to complete TESS Self-Assessment Surveys

•Expected to keep in contact with Building Level Contact

Required to submit monthly Reflective Response inBloomBoard

Required to provide the Building Level Contact with documentation of responsesin the manner determined by district.

Required to provide other documentation as required by district.

District Contacts Expectations

•Provide support to Building level contacts

•Provide support to all NTs in district

•Work with Building Contacts to ensure NT are participating and receiving resources

ADE may contact districts for NT Mentoring Documentation

•Co-op will send W9’s to the District Contact who will distribute W9’s to Building Contacts

District Level Stipend: $200 per Semester

Stipends will be paid the last pay period before Christmas and at the end of May

Building Contacts Expectations

•Serve as the Novice Teacher’s onsite contact

•Provide Support for Novice Teachers

•Collect and maintain NT documents in the manner determined by the district

ADE may contact districts for NT Mentoring Documentation

•Remind teachers of NT Mentoring resources on BloomBoard.

•Notify co-op if additional or specific resources are needed.

•Stipend provided as long as there at least two NTs in building

•Return W9’s to Co-op before payment of stipend.

Building Level Contact Stipend: $250 per Semester
