2016-2017 Lake Standards Assessments
The Lake Standards Assessments were developed as part of Lake County’s Continuous Improvement Model to monitor the progress of students’ mastery of the current Florida standards. The questions will be individually analyzed for validity and reliability after each administration based on extensive item analysis of student results. Items that do not meet our demands for validity will be discarded thus not included in the final results. The purpose of this test is to allow teachers and schools to use the results to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses to improve student performance. For more information on the LSAs go to the LSA Info page- (Lake County Intranet->Departments>Testing>LSAs)
Materials required:
1. One set of tests (Reusable- the students should not write on tests) if testing on paper
2. Student Answer Sheets, one for each student per test if testing on paper

FOR TESTING ON PAPER
Before Testing
1. Verify that information on Student Answer Sheets matches the GRADE LEVEL AND TEST TYPE
2. Verify that you have a printed a Student Answer Sheet for each student and you have enough tests
During Testing
1. Circulate to ensure students do not make stray marks on the test or Student Answer Sheet- the answer sheet will not scan if there are marks on the bar codes on the bottom and top of the sheet
2. Ensure students do not bend or fold answer sheets
After Testing:
1. Erase all stray marks on the answer sheet and/or test
2. Organize answer documents face up by class
3. Separate and paper clip all unused answer sheets- note the students who were absent
4. Scan answer sheets. PLEASE do not scan blank answer sheets.
5. Do not run reports for your students until you receive word that the reports have been released for review. Tests will only be available for reports one week after the testing window closes.
FOR TESTING ONLINE
Before Testing:
1. Make sure students have viewed the online experience video.
2. Even if you are testing online, you must verify that the teachers/students have Student Answer Sheets. Do not print Student Answer Sheets. This just lets you know that the student may teat online. If a teacher/student does not have Student Answer Sheets, please ask your Data Clerk the course code and name of the course used and e-mail information to A. Teron.
3. Have students sign in and enter student password. Students will log-in with their student IDs (as the unique identifier) and the generic password: welcome
During Testing:
1. Monitor that students are answering all questions before they submit a test for scoring
After Testing:
1. Do not run reports for your students until you receive word that the reports have been released for review.
