Opening Session
Call to Order: President Elect Karen Johnson
The Opening Session of the Florida Chapter 2009 Annual Meeting & Trade Show was called to order at 12:30 p.m. by President Elect Karen Johnson.
Presentation of Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, & Invocation:
Presentation of Colors was performed by the Escambia County Road Prison Honor Guard with a tribute to Anthony Leffin, Past President Mark Juliano sang the National Anthem. District Representative Wayne Schooley gave the invocation.
Introductions:
President Karen Johnson welcomed all the past presidents in attendance.

Karen Johnson thanked the Escambia County Road Prison Honor Guard for performing the color guard ceremony and their special tribute to Anthony Leffin. Jim Proce introduced the keynote speaker, Jerry Way, Director of Transportation, City of Sacramento, California. Jerry is currently serving as the President of the APWA Sacramento Chapter and in 2008 served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Sacramento Tree Foundation.
Meeting adjourned at approximately 2:30 p.m.
