SUMMONS to a meeting of EARBY TOWN COUNCIL to be held on Monday 27th March

1. Welcome

The Chairman, Cllr. Tennant welcomes all to the meeting at 7.30pm.

2. Attendance, Apologies and Non Attendance

To record accept or otherwise, attendance, apologises for absence and non-attendance.

3. Declarations of Interest/s

Members are reminded of the legal requirements concerning the declaration of interests.

A Member must declare a pecuniary interest which he/she has in any item on the

agenda.

A Member with a pecuniary interest in any item may not participate in any

discussion of the matter at the meeting and must not participate in any vote taken on the

matter at the meeting.

In addition it is suggested that a Member with a pecuniary interest leave the room where the meeting is held while any discussion or voting takes place.

4. Public discussion

Members of the public present to be offered the opportunity to address council on any relevant subject not already on the agenda.

Usual maximum time allotted 15 minutes.

Any questions for council to be sent via post or email to the clerk a week before the meeting.

5. Friday Surgery

Cllr Cocker to bring to Councils attention items of special note from the report from the Friday Surgeries. The report having previously been issued to councillors.

6. Police business

To report on any issues of concern and forward selected ones to the local West Craven Police Team.

To accept and approve as an accurate representation the minutes of the previous council meeting held on Monday 27th February 2017.

9. Update of ongoing issues from previous minutes

Verbal update from clerk and councillors on any matters from the above.

10. Reports from meetings with other organisations

To receive for information purposes verbal or written reports from councillors or clerk on any such meetings they have attended.

These should be notified to the clerk in advance of the agenda so that they can be listed; in the case of written reports, in order that they can be circulated to councillors prior to the meeting.

11. Finance

To consider approve or otherwise the following:

a Payment to Ashburn Stoves

To discuss the quote from the above re radiators 1830.

b Earby big weekend

To discuss the email previously circulated to all councillors regarding the enquiry.

c Payment to Barnoldswick Bathrooms

To discuss the quote from the above regarding Improvements to central heating, domestic hot & bathroom at the Earby Youth Hostel:-

That the quotation below be accepted/approved and that a cheque be issued at this meeting for 50% (3732.50 + 746.50 = £4479.00) of the works as a deposit, in order that the work can begin w/c 7th April, with the balance been payable on completion and that the balance payment appear on the April 24th meeting agenda.

The payments above are been funded from the capital projects amounts reallocated/allocated to the Earby Youth Hostel in both the 2016/17 and 2017/18 budgets.

To supply and install full central heating system to the cottage side of the hostel including the following

Alpha 24kw combination boiler with 5 year guarantee

Honeywell control timer programmer

Radiators to all rooms with thermostatic valves

Magnetic filter to system

All necessary pipe work and consumables

Total £3625 plus vat @20%

As additional extra at the same time we can install mixer shower and retile bath area

Total £455 plus vat @20%

To supply and install new heat only. Boiler to hostel side of building including the following

Visemann 28kw heat only boiler with 5 year guarantee

Honeywell control timer programmer

Upgrading all radiators with new thermostatic valves

Full service clean of all pipe work with chemical clean and new inhibitor

Installation of magnetic filter to system

Installation of CO2 alarms to all necessary areas

Total £3385 plus vat @20%

Grand Total £7465 plus vat @ 20% = £8958.00

NB. During the work we will also service all gas appliances in the buildings and advise of any repair or replacement needed FOC
