MEF ENTRY CRITERIAESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE / WHEN EVALUATED[1]
QUALIFICATIONS /
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Passed relevant specialty exam eg MRCS / MRCP at time of application
ELIGIBILITY / To be eligible for entry into a MEF post trainees must have:
- Full registration with the GMC at time of application.
- A place on a North Western Deanery specialty training programme from August 2012 in any specialty (except GP) at the following grades:
- SPR, StR, ST3 and above
- ST4 and above in:
- Psychiatry,
- Emergency medicine
- Paediatrics
- At least 24 months full time equivalent from projected CCT date on 01.08.2012.
- Evidence of satisfactory achievement of competences resulting in an ARCP outcome 1 or a RITA C.
- No involvement in other substantial posts alongside clinical training (E.g. those such as MLP, ACF)
- Discussed and have written evidence of the support of their Training Programme Director.

- Is up to date and fit to practise safely.
