Project Lead the Way (PLTW®) and TrueOutcomes

2008-09 Step by Step Student Registration

You may begin to register with TrueOutcomes 24 hours after your PLTW®instructor has updated or confirmed her contact information on the PLTW® Website. Please wait for direction or check with your teacher before proceeding.

Step 1 – Beginning Registration

Go to the PLTW® Student Registration web site at and click the top radio button to register for the first time!

Step 2 – Contact Information

Fill in your contact information. All fields with a * are required to continue your registration. Click Next Step to move to step 3!

Step 3 – My User Profile

Tell us about yourself! Select your gender, ethnicity and birth date. Don’t forget to tell us what grade you are in. Click Next Step to move to the step 4!

Step 3B – My Plans (applies to seniors only)

You’re a senior? Let us know your plans. What are you thinking about doing after graduation? What schools are you applying to? Do you know what you want to study? Or, do you have plans to work after high school? Click Next Step to move to step 4!

If you are not a senior, you will skip to step 4.

Step 4 – My Courses

Time to register for your PLTW® courses!

1. Use the drop down box under “Term” to select the school term you are participating in the PLTW® course. Then, use the drop down box under “Course” to select the PLTW®classes you are taking this year. Your teacher’s name should automatically appear under “Instructor” once you have selected your courses. Note: If you are taking more than one PLTW® course this school year you may register for all your courses now or add additional courses later.

2. Check off any of the engineering related courses listed that you are taking this year.

3. Check off any of the listed PLTW® related programs you have participated in.

Step 5 – User ID and Password

Now you can create yourUserID and Password so that you can add PLTW® courses later this year or make any changes to your profile without having to re-enter previously provided information.

One more thing….

Your teacher will be giving you a Transcript Release Formto take home for you and your parents to read and sign. This form gives us permission to request your future college transcript so that we can better determine how PLTW®coursework has helped you in college and influenced yourcareer choices. Please remember to return the signed form to your teacher. Participation is voluntary. THANK YOU!
