STUDENT RECOGNITION & AWARDS
On-going student recognition and monthly awards, are a long standing tradition at ÉcoleCorinthia Park School. We pride ourselves in honouring the desired behaviours and efforts of our students, in addition to acknowledging academic successes along the way.
Bucket Filler Certificates:
Our monthly Character and Citizenship Traits are focused on at school-wide assemblies and in the classroom, in order to help our students develop high levels of:
●Respect
●Responsibility
●Honesty
●Empathy
●Perseverance
●Kindness
●Compassion
Students are recognized for showing these desirable traits, and then nominated by their peers or a staff member to receive a “Bucket Filler Certificate” at our monthly assembly.
Meet the Administration:
Every Friday afternoon, the school administration hosts a “Meet the Admin” event. During this time, a select group of students are given the chance to shine and show-off an item of work that they are most proud of. By the end of the school year, every single student in grades 1-6, will have had the opportunity to experience this event, receive a recognition certificate and a delicious cookie for their hard work and effort.
Student of the Month:
Students are nominated by their homeroom teachers to receive a Student of the Month Award based on their ability to demonstrate the above character traits, consistent or improved effort and all around Cougar pride. These students are recognized at our monthly assemblies, receive a certificate and pen/pencil, and have their name published in the school newsletter.
Caught You Being Good:
This recognition is given to students who go above and beyond to exhibit kindness and care for others and our school environment. Students are nominated for this award by staff members, are given a certificate and are eligible to choose out a prize from our prize cupboard on a monthly basis. This is a well sought-after award.
French Speaking:
Students who speak in French during the recess breaks, while in the hallway and/or in class, may be a recipient of this special recognition. Students do not have to be in the French Immersion track in order to receive this award. Students are nominated by a staff member, receive a certificate during our monthly assembly and are eligible to receive a prize from the office.
