Unit 15 – “Top 10 backpacking locations. Holidays."

Objectives: At the end of this unit students will be able to put into practice all the constructions, grammar and social English FOR EVERY CITY DESCRIPTION they have learnt in this course.

Final task:

Students have to organize a holiday to a city. To do so they will use internet, but using web pages in English.

In this unit we practice some constructions as: likes, arrangements, preferences, wishes, vocabulary about travel, clothes, transport, monuments, money… situations as: at the travel agency, at the airport, at the hotel, at the restaurant…

This final project will be done in pairs.

Use of new technologies.

The use of new technologies (called TIC) are of great importance in education for many reasons:

They are real and useful for our students.

They are functional, and being functional is one of our main objectives.

They are motivating.

They contribute to student participation.

In our English class we will use: computers, tapes, CD player, CD-ROM discs, TV and video recorder.

Most didactic units in our planning require the use of computers, or the internet in order to reach for information, read real texts in English etc. some examples are:
