To the Parents/Guardians of Upcoming 7th, 8th, 9th Grade Students:

The Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Higher Education have allowed students to participate in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program which is available to students in grades 7-12. Hayes High School is proud to offer a variety of high school courses that give students an opportunity to earn college credit while earning high school credit. Students may also take courses online or on-campus through an Ohio college. All CCP courses are offered at no cost to the family. The Delaware County high schools will be hosting a College Credit PlusInformation Night onWednesday,January 31, 2018from 6:15-8:30 PM at Ohio Wesleyan Universityfor all students entering grades 7-12. Please attend if your student is planning to take a CCP course in 2018-2019 or if you would like to learn more before making a decision. Representatives from Marion Technical College, Wright State University, Columbus State Community College, Ohio State University, University of Toledo, and the Delaware Area Career Center are expected to be in attendance and will answer questions as well as explain the application process and qualifications to be accepted as a CCP student. Pre-registration for this meeting is required and can be found at

Students have the option to attend any public college and participating private college in Ohio, regardless of which colleges are represented at the informational night. Families interested in learning more about these partnerships and opportunities are welcome to visit any Ohio college website for more information about applying and qualifying as a College Credit Plus student.

Students can earn up to 30 credit hours per year of college credit through the CCP program depending upon their regular school schedule. A signed Letter of Intent is required to participate in CCP courses and must be submitted by April 1st. In addition, students must complete the college’sCCP application and have qualifying test scores (ACT, SAT, or ACCUPLACER, etc.).
