Communication Arts:Spelling Lesson 11 test will be Monday for blue classes. We will be working on conjunctions and interjections and continue working with poetry. Reminder: All homework assignments that receive a grade below a C may be redone for grade improvement. Assignments must be asked for that day and are due the next class time. Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity if needed.

7thGrade Reading:We are finishing the school year by reading Where the Red Fern Grows. We will be reading this book and completing activities related to the book in class. Reading Log #15 is due May 11(Gold day classes) and May 12 (Blue day classes). 4th quarter AR goals must be met by May 17th. Feel free to contact me with questions or concerns and have a great week!

7th Grade Math(Mrs. Gillilan) This week students will review for and take their Probability test. Students will need to know how to determine likelihood, experimental probability, sample spaces, theoretical probability, and making predictions. Social Studies(Brand):This week students will be continuing their Stock Market Game. This has the students researching companies and their stock history. Students are competing against each other to see who can invest and receive the most profit before the end of the school year. This section we will also be learning about economics and the components of an economy. If you have any questions my email is . 7th Grade Rise-We will be learning about our field trip to the Pompeii exhibit at Union Station, helping with Track and Field, and having an end of year celebration. Mrs. Bell ,

7th Grade Vocal Congratulations to all vocal students on a great concert on Monday evening! Thank you for singing and working hard!

7th Grade ArtArtists will do one plein air painting (2 classes). This is our last project for the year. This will be due Thursday 5/11/17. When done, students will continue distributing art and cleaning up/organizing materials used this year in the art room.

Artists are working on drawing a still life using computer animated design. When done, students will continue taking down and distributing art. As well as cleaning up the computer lab.

Band:Our SPRING CONCERT is this coming TUESDAY, 5/9 in the East Gym at 7:00PM. Students need to wear nice black shoes, black dress pants (or a black skirt), and their blue music t-shirt. Students should be in the band room by 6:15 to get their things ready and warm-up together. We are doing some pieces that use students from different classes, so it will be important that everyone is here by 6:15 to work on our combined portions.
