How to Get College Credit?

Students must take an Advanced Placement exam in a specific subject area. Advanced Placement exams are administered in May. Tests scores range from 5 - 1. Students must score a 3, 4, or 5 on the exam to be eligible for college credit.

2 - Possibly qualified

1 - No recommendation

Advanced Placement Testing

Advanced Placement testing is offered to all students whether or not they are enrolled in a course designated as Advanced Placement. Information from the AP teacher assists students preparing for the national Advanced Placement tests given in May. The tests are optional and are for those students who wish to earn college credits. During March, the students must register for testing through the Student Services office. Wisconsin Statutes 120.12(22) requires the SunPrairieAreaSchool District to pay the fee for taking Advanced Placement exams for students who qualify for free and reduced priced lunches. Other students not qualifying for free or reduced lunches must pay their own exam fees. During the 2011/2012 school year, the cost of each exam was $87.
