MINUTES OF MEETING OF TWIN RIVERS PARISH COUNCIL ON

The meeting was preceeded commencing at 7pm by a defibrillator demonstration by Lincolnshire Lives. This concluded at 9pm. Approximately 20 people from surrounding villages attended and found it to be very useful and informative.

60/15SUB COMMITTEES

Cow Lane Management Committee

Christine Royston has drafted a reply to the Freedom of Information letter and also to the latest letter regarding spraying at the entrance of Cow Lane. Following the Chair’s approval, these letters will be sent by the clerk.

The clerk remarked she had received a donation of £250 from the Cow Lane Management Committee towards the insurance.

Lesley Jackson has invited Parish Council members to the next Cow Lane Meeting which is a site meeting at 1830 hrs. on Thursday 10 September 2015 at Adlingfleet Gate. Andrew Percy MP has also been invited. All present agreed to go and the clerk to inform Lesley.

Playpark Committee

Paul Rudd stated he had carried out some play equipment inspections and had tightened the zip wire, put a padlock on the nest swing and tightened some nuts and shackles on the toddler multi-tower. Assisted by Graham Dealtry they had cut and strimmed the play area. It was noted that the Playpark Inspection Certificates held by Mr. S. Brady and Mr. A. Bell were current for three years. It was noted that a board needs to be erected to acknowledge all those who have financially supported the project.

Regarding the litter bin, East Riding has been to assess where best to place it and the Rotary Club will be fundraising on 26 July to fund it.

Village Hall Committee

Still waiting to hear the outcome from the Goole Fields Windfarm Fund. We have applied for £5192.50 towards the brick shell and roof of the kitchen extension.

61/15MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING HELD ON 16 JUNE 2015

It was proposed by Mr. T. Hendersonand seconded by Mr. G. Dealtry that the minutes were a true record. Minutes were signed by the Chairman.

62/15MATTERS ARISING

Village Hall Refurbishment

The Planning amendments are now at East Riding and a decision is awaited from the Planning Officer. It was noted by Paul Rudd that the building is deteriorating rapidly and will have to be inspected again following Ousefleet Show.

Emergency Plan

The Grant money for 2014/15 has now been spent on Emergency items and the clerk has reclaimed the VAT money. The completion form is to be sent back to Theresa Gale.

Code of Conduct Training

The course was attended on 18 June 2015 by four members of the Committee and this was found to be extremely informative.

Public Health Bus

The Public Health Bus will be visiting outside Ousefleet Village Hall on Monday 5 October 2015 between the hours of 0930 and 1230 hrs. Posters have been put in all notice boards. It was noted that appointments need to be made. Telephone number on the poster.

Parish Walkabout

Following the Walkabout on 7 July 2015 with Jim McGivern, we now have the Village Taskforce Schedule and the Schedule of Issues outside the remit of the Taskforce. It was noted that the broken manhole cover outside Whitgift Church was not Yorkshire Water responsibility as first thought but is in fact Northern Powergrid.

63/15CORRESPONDENCE

  • A revised bus timetable was received from EYMS for Services 360/361. A copy to be placed on the notice board.
  • An application for co-option was received from James Woodcock. This makes two applications received from residents in the same household as existing Parish Councillors. This will be discussed further when all members are present at the meeting.
