I have belived in it since 1975.
This bed, inspired by history and techniques, is a product which startedoff as a structure and turned intoa concept: to make a bed with the sameattention, the same methods, the samematerials and the same tools used rightup until the last century. It is made byhand from heavy oak.
The Letto Plinio is a unique bed which is all-natural and speciallydesigned for those who suffer from allergies. Four large turned screwsenable the bed to be assembled, takenapart and cleaned in every nook andcranny with the utmost ease – unlike any other bed you can buy today.
The structure, which is made up of a network of beech slats, means that air can circulate easily and it functions wellwith the Plinio il Giovane mattress.
This type of structure does not only improve the quality of sleep but also makes cleaning it super easy.This was specially designed for a good night’s sleep by only using all-naturalmaterials and allowing the air tocirculate freely. The super light mattress made from natural wool and cotton, means that it breathes well since the materialused is like a sea sponge.
We were inspired by the ancient tea ceremony while reflecting aboutassembling this bed, as we wantedto make it a downtime to well-being. It becomes a ritual which enables youto understand how it is constructedso that it can be truly appreciated.
WOOD FINISH

The linseed oil, with natural pigments finish, highlight the wood grains and knots and make each piece of furniture unique.
OPEN PORE COLOURWASH AND POLISHING FINISH
Recommended for people who, even appreciating the wood warmth and softness, wish a homogeneous color and a higher protective finish
This finish join present and past using the ancient way of giving a first coat of a colourwash base for a new water primer able to maintain the natural well-seasoned wood humidity. After sanding-paper a last protective matt or shining effect water finishcoat is applied.

Questo letto, fatto di storia e tecnica, è un prodotto che parte da una forma e diventa un concetto: produrre un letto con la stessa cura, gli stessi metodi, gli stessi materiali e gli stessi strumenti usati fino al secolo scorso. Fatto a mano, in legno di rovere massello e lucidato con puro olio di lino cotto miscelato a pigmenti naturali, il letto Plinio è l’unico letto completamente naturale, particolarmente consigliato a chi soffre di allergie. Quattro grosse viti di legno tornito permettono di montarlo, smontarlo e pulirlo a fondo in ogni sua piccola parte. La struttura del letto e la rete di doghe in faggio massello, favoriscono la circolazione dell’aria e lavorano in sinergia con il materasso di Plinio, leggero materasso, completamente naturale in lana e cotone, permette una sana traspirazione grazie alla sua anima composta da un materiale simile alla spugna di mare.
Pensato con il preciso scopo di migliorare il sonno utilizzando solo materiali naturali, è stato progettato per favorire la circolazione dell’aria durante il sonno, migliorando la qualità del sonno e facilitando la pulizia del letto e dell’ambiente.
Il rito del tè ci ha permesso di concepire il montaggio del letto come un vero rituale dedicato al proprio benessere. Questo originale montaggio permette di capire com’è costruito, in modo da poterlo apprezzare veramente.

La lucidatura con olio di lino cotto, colorato dai pigmenti, evidenzia le venature e I nodi che rendono ogni prodotto unico e diverso dall’altro.
TRATTAMENTO DI LUCIDATURA A PORO APERTO
Consigliato a chi ama il legno ben lucidato, opaco o lucido, dal colore uniforme e molto liscio al tatto
Un ciclo di lucidatura che unisce passato e presente. Si parte dall’antico metodo della tinta all’acqua, pazientemente stesa a pennello e si termina con un moderno trattamento protettivo solubile in acqua.
