Agenda item: 1 – Action Items & Issues / Brian H

  • Software developers asked that we confirm each action item and issue number as we discuss them

Agenda item: 2 - Revised Payroll Event Specs / Mick F
  • ATO to set up a meeting early next week to review the message structure. The issue is the context style we have developed against. It is causing problems for setting up XBRL format for an XML message. We will be looking at options for revising this and making the message a better XML format. The major message for this is that we have released the latest December that we will break the interface. We will change it based on the outcomes of this meeting. All developers in the STP space are welcomed to look at the messages in EVTE. Be aware that there is potential for change of the interface which will cause more changes for you. Chris asked we make this available outside our standard EVTE releases.
  • You will receive this information through the SBR.gov.au if you are subscribed.

Agenda item: 3 - DDS Release Schedule / Brendan K
  • For the assessment 2016 service we have delivered the fixes in the Feb EVTE
  • The upcoming release for the activity statements roles and registrations this will go into March release
  • The program increment 9 – access and outcome of income tax returns for individuals of 2017 – today we will discuss this and the design of the 2016 service
  • 2017 has legislative changes – similar changes for individuals
  • The fields that are being modified, removed or added have been established
  • The 2016 design pattern will be used in 2017
  • Brendan asked a design clarification question – do SwD’s want them converted from JSON to XML
  • SwD’s have voiced their desire for XML over JSON
  • The rest of the document was tabled for further feedback due to time constraints

Agenda item: 4–TT17 Update & Plan on a Page / Grahame D
  • February package going in 23/2/17
  • Draft publication for IDS delivery 9/3/17
  • IDS delivery will be March
  • March release will include: simpler BAS changes, ABN registration service update, registration status check, add tax role for ABN, SBR2 activity statement service for simpler BAS.
  • We are bringing an earlier release in April which will include: SBR1 activity statement service for simpler BAS and the AS reports for simpler BAS
  • Plan on a page is to go on the SIPO site – everyone will have access to it
  • Simpler BAS conformance suits in SBR2 – there will be updates to the activity statements. Andrew raised a query around SBR 2 AS conformance suites (standard and simpler) - It is not possible to execute a complete AS conformance suite workflow in SBR 2 – list responses do not map to prefill requests and so on.for action and is forwarding to TWG inbox for action.
Action item A0064 was raised for this issue (there is also an incident raised and Grahame is aware of this).
Agenda item: 5–Data Format Change for ITCRPT(Income Tax Client Report) / Craig W
  • We will look at creating a CSV version in the backlog
  • The response payload will be improved with this change
  • Industry would be impressed with a CSV version
  • Agreement from the group that compression will be turned on for this message exchange.

Agenda item: 6–SBR Taxonomy Changes TT17 / Kim M
  • There is a document uploaded to SIPO related to this item (ATO Taxonomy Architecture and Naming Conventions)
