JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:

(1)High School Diploma.

(2)Valid Florida Driver’s License.

(3)Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in a formal office operation.

(4)Computer proficiency.

(5)Type at a prescribed rate of speed.

(6)Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficient oral and written communication skills. Positive interpersonal skills. Ability to handle a variety of semi-complex tasks at one time. Ability to work independently with minimal direction. Considerable knowledge of office practices and accounting. Ability to utilize computer for word processing and other specific programs. Ability to accurately maintain financial records.

REPORTS TO:

Information Technology Programs Manager

JOB GOAL

To assist Education Technology Servicesmanagers and staff in providing and accomplishing quality services to the NEFEC member districts as well as non-member districts that contract for services.

SUPERVISES:

N/A

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Service Delivery

*(1)Schedule appointments for the supervisor and project staff members.

*(2)Retrieve, sort and distribute mail / correspondence to project staff.

*(3)Answer the telephone and take messages for project staff.

*(4)Type confidential personnel evaluations as assigned to the supervisor.

*(5)Maintain schedules and make travel arrangements for project staff.

*(6)Maintain and update project staff personnel files including records of payroll, travel and others.

*(7)Coordinate the purchase of necessary office and operating supplies.

*(8)Type and file letters and memoranda for each project staff member.

*(9)Attend specified Advisory Council meetings and other project meetings with duties that include meeting arrangements, preparation of meeting minutes, and distribution of minutes and appropriate meeting materials to Advisory Council members.

*(10)Perform general support duties which include general typing, word processing, data entry, photocopying, filing and others.

*(11)Run monthly budget reports for NEFEC Supervisors.

*(12)Attend to NEFEC Maintenance/Facilities issues, placing service calls and maintaining a log.

*(13)Assist supervisor with budget analysis, budget projection and preparation of budget.

*(14)Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.

*(15)Post notices of importance / interest to Educational Technology Services personnel, NEFEC and the public.

*(16)Communicate effectively with co-workers, public and administration.

*(17)Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.

*(18)Keep supervisor informed of potential problems or unusual events.

*Essential Performance Responsibilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

Job Description Supplement 05

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve months. Eight hours per day.

Compensation based on Pay Grade 20.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of NEFEC policy on evaluation of personnel.
