SPECIALIST, PRDUCT DEVELOPMENT, FULL TIME

70.00 hours bi-weekly –Non Union

The Baycrest Foundation provides crucial funding to the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care. The Foundation solicits funds from donors either through direct solicitation or events.
The Baycrest Foundation seeks an effective sales and business development strategist and communicator for the role of Product Development Specialistas part of its Major Gifts team. The ideal candidate for the Product DevelopmentSpecialistrole combines strengths in writing, design, ideation and donor experience development in a unique and rewarding role.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders in order to identify and package fundraising opportunities
  • Participates in meetings with senior executives to identify strategic funding priorities
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders to research and develop funding opportunities for prospective major donors
  • Designs and delivers succinct and impactful donor-ready materials in various formats – presentations, one-pagers, and proposals – to help secure major gifts funding
  • Updates and maintains a library of donor materials to assist Major Gifts fundraisers with their donor meetings
  • Searches out and articulates the “people” factor in every piece of equipment purchased through a donation, and every research project funded
  • Develops communications tools which will assist the Foundation in its mandate
  • Collaborates with leadership teams of Baycrest and Baycrest Foundation to develop strategies for donor-directed initiatives
/ Qualifications (include but are not limited to):
  • Relevant post-secondary education (University Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or Business, or Health Administration) or a combination of education and experience
  • CFRE an asset
  • Solid experience in a fundraising, sales or business development role
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint
  • Intermediate Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills required
  • Exceptional marketing and communication skills (writing, presentation, verbal, persuasive)
  • A strategic communicator who displays initiative and resourcefulness
  • Excellent project management skills, analytical ability, and capacity to manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Strong research, time management and organizational skills
