Early Education Technology Grant Application

PURPOSE

Early Education Technology Grants are intended to provide specific computer-related technology to programs that currently do not have access to such technology, so they may utilize the Exceed Early Care and Education Data System (ECEDS) and the RI Department of Human Services’ new eligibility system. Access to technology will allow providers to:

  • Maintain their individual Workforce Registry accounts, which allows them to store and share staff file information with their employers
  • Complete and maintain their ECEDS Program Portal, which allows them to:
  • Complete DCYF renewal applications
  • Apply for a BrightStars rating
  • Apply for Comprehensive Early Childhood Education (CECE) Approval
  • Invoice the child care assistance program

Programs that are eligible for this grant currently do not have technology that would allow them to access and participate in the state early childhood on-line systems.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to apply for an Early Education Technology Grant, your program must:

  • Not have computer access to utilize the state’s early childhood online systems.
