“The nuts and bolts of CBT for Depression”-Yvonne Tone

Utilising appropriate CBT tools for managing depression helps people deal with this common experience. This workshop will explore assessment issues, conceptualization, mood monitoring, behavioural activation and mood management strategies drawing on available research in the field.

Yvonne has extensive experience as a CBT therapist. She currently works in the Student Counselling Service at Trinity College, Dublin. She is an accredited Supervisor, Trainer and therapist with BABCP.

“Eating Disorders: CBT and beyond”-Gerard Butcher

Recent research in the area of eating disorders has established that although CBT can be extremely beneficial to many, all too often it’s not enough to help break the vicious cycle that many experience. This workshop will demonstrate the core CBT skills that can be used in treating those with an eating disorder along with the more recently established approaches that may be helpful in effecting long-term recovery.

Gerard has extensive clinical experience built up over many years with men and women who suffer with a range of eating-related difficulties. He currently works in private practice in Dublin city centre.

Attendance certificate will be issued on the day.
