$ 2, 000.00 EDUCATIONAL BURSARY AVAILABLE

The Dwaine Barkley Bursary is a $2,000.00 bursary which will be awarded to a Branch member, who has played Jr. B, enrolled in a post-secondary institution or graduating from high school in the spring of 2016.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • All persons registered in the Branch and in good standings are eligible;
  • Must have played Jr. B during the 2015-2016 season
  • You must be graduating from high school in 2016 or be enrolled in a post-secondary institution;
  • If you are graduating from high school in 2016, you must be pursuing a career requiring further education or training (e.g. university, college, trade school etc.)

HOW TO APPLY

Complete an application form and forward it with the required attachments to the HEO office to the attention of Vanessa Valente via mail or email at

APPLICATION DEADLINE

All applications must be received in the HEO office no later than 17:00 hours, May 20th, 2016. Late or incomplete applications (a missing attachment will be considered as an incomplete application) will not be considered.

The successful applicant will be notified by May 27th and will be required to attend the AGM presentation on June 4th 2016 atAlgonquin College. The decision will be made by HEO and will not be subject to review.

The recipient’s name and photo will be posted on the HEO website following the 2015-2016 AGM.
